Regional Update
The Consortium will post regular updates on our performance and achievements in each sub-region and Local Authorities.
The following information is provided to show the success the Consortium have in Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire/Warrington at the end of our first year in operation. In Year 2, we will also deliver in Greater Merseyside.
From 1st April 2008, our second year of the project, we will update the sub-regional information regularly with statistics and news. This is for the interest of our partners in the sub-regions; it will also help us to widen our awareness of Business Start Up and will increase our engagement in each Local Authority area and the sub-region. We will update this bi-monthly.
We welcome the support of a wide range of partners from public and private sector to help us to offer Business Start Up to our target groups in the region. If you feel you can help please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Consortium.

Enterprise Bus
Business Support Solutions launched the Enterprise Bus in order raise awareness across Greater Manchester of the range of free advice, information and resources for both start-up and clients requiring post start support. The ‘Bus’ will be visiting several locations across Greater Manchester over the next few weeks. Staffed by our business advisors and link workers we will be in high profile location in Stockport (from 2-6 June), Trafford (9-13 June) and Rochdale (16-20 June). The campaign has been support by advertisements, features on local community radio and articles and advertisements in the local press. It is our intention to build on the success of the project and take it into other locations across other delivery areas in the future. We anticipate approx 300 new referrals to the project over the course of the campaign. Continued visits and contacts with Key partners, banks, building societies libraries, community centres ensures that we are raising the awareness of our provision across all areas.
