Mike had been living in the UK for 7 years, in this time accruing 5 years of experience in design. He was tired of his current work and the pay rate offered, wishing to work for himself as a graphic designer. He attended a Self Employment Awareness session as he was unsure as to how and where to attain clients.

Blue Orchid worked with Mike over a number of weeks in 1-to-1 sessions and assisted him with working out a Marketing approach. We encouraged mike to attend Sales and Awareness courses run by B.O. and also gave advice on pricing policy.

Becoming a freelancer still carries a few concerns for Mike, as it doesn’t necessarily guarantee continual and constant levels of income, but he has now built up a few regular clients and with this comes a steadier income stream.
