Turning A Life-Long Passion For Design Into An Interior Design Business With Support Of The NWDA

Thirty-eight-year-old Dipti Patel turned her life-long passion for interior design into a business called Charisma Interior Design with the help of the women’s enterprise agency, Train 2000 which forms part of the NWDA consortium.

Ms Dipti Patel of Bardbridge, Cheshire says: “I have been passionate about interior design for 20 years. Friends and family were always asking me to help design their new homes. I thought it was a case of now or never and after 10 years working as a project manager in the pharmaceutical industry I decided to turn my dream into reality.”

After studying for a Diploma in Interior Design, Dipti, who is divorced with a five-year-old daughter, completed a series of courses in business practices before setting up Charisma Design: “I offer a full range of Interior Design services from concept to completion and everything else in between. While some of my clients want the whole package others prefer a day makeover. I believe Interior Design should be affordable and flexible.”

Dipti’s background as a project manager ensures that the sub contractors she works with provide a service which is completed on time and more importantly on budget: “Train 2000 has been a real inspiration, providing me with practical support and encouragement which has helped keep my plans on track.”

Long term Dipti aims to develop the businesses across the whole of the North West, eventually opening her own Interior Design shop.
